Jessica Agnelly of Wendt Law Firm chosen for Women’s Justice Award by Missouri Lawyers Weekly
Wendt Law Firm is pleased to announce that attorney Jessica Agnelly was chosen for a 2020 Women’s Justice Award from Missouri Lawyers Weekly in the Litigation category.
The Women’s Justice Awards, launched in 1999, recognize women from across the state of Missouri who have demonstrated leadership, integrity, service, sacrifice and accomplishment in improving the quality of justice and exemplifying the highest ideals of the legal profession. The awards reach out to women in various segments of the legal community, including the bar, the bench, public office, business, academia, nonprofits and the state at large. The honorees will be celebrated Friday, June 26 at the The Four Seasons Hotel in St. Louis.

About Jessica Agnelly:
Jessica started her legal career in the nation’s capital as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. Michael W. Farrell in the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. Upon returning to Kansas City, she clerked for the Hon. Ronald R. Holliger at the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District in Kansas City.
Now as an attorney with Wendt Law Firm, Jessica represents individuals who have been seriously injured or killed in automobile or commercial vehicle collisions, defective and dangerous products or pharmaceuticals, sexual abuse, insurance bad faith litigation, and medical malpractice actions.
Jessica has focused her most recent work on advocating and working with women who have been victims of sexual assault, having recently resolved multiple cases on behalf of young girls who were victims of individuals in positions of authority.
Jessica received her Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys as well as the Association for Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City. Jessica has received the Rising Star Women’s Justice Award by Missouri Lawyers Weekly and was named one of Missouri’s Up & Coming Attorneys. She has consistently been named Best of the Bar by the Kansas City Business Journal, a Missouri-Kansas Super Lawyer, and recognized by the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 attorneys in Missouri. Jessica was also recognized as one of the Top 50 Women Lawyers in Missouri and Kansas by Thompson Reuters/Super Lawyers. Jessica volunteers with Operation Breakthrough in Kansas City, LEAP/Lawyers Encouraging Academic Performance, and works with StudyBuddy as a tutor.
